Butter Bell & Buttons at Matthews Farm Museum

Join us Saturday, May 2nd from 10–12 PM at Matthews Farm Museum for a hand-rolled pottery workshop where you’ll create your own Butter Bell and handmade buttons.

A butter bell is a traditional French butter keeper that keeps butter fresh and perfectly spreadable at room temperature using a simple water seal. In this class you’ll learn beginner hand-building techniques while creating your own functional piece for your kitchen.

After class, your pottery will be taken back to the studio to be fired in the kiln and will be returned to the farm for pickup once finished.
